Professor Stephanie Madon, the study's Principal Investigator, is inviting current and former prosecutors to participate. The study takes about 30 minutes online and asks participants to review a criminal investigation scenario and complete a related survey. INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN A RESEARCH STUDY

Dear Prosecutor,

I am a professor at Arizona State University, and in collaboration with the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys and the National Science Foundation, I would like to invite you to participate in an online study that examines how prosecutorial decision-making contributes to the fair administration of justice.

I know that participating in research takes time, but your participation is vital because, as a prosecutor, you bring a unique perspective on the decisions prosecutors make every day. For this reason, I very much hope that you will participate in my study.

All prosecutors who complete the study will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of several hundred $50 gift cards redeemable at more than 1,000 vendors (e.g., Amazon, Starbucks, eBay, and Home Depot). If your agency's policies prohibit you from accepting compensation, you may decline the gift card.

Why should I participate? Your participation will help to advance knowledge about prosecutorial practices that promote fairness and accuracy within the justice system.

Am I eligible to participate? You are eligible to participate if you are a current or former prosecutor.

What would my participation entail? As a participant in this study, you will read about a criminal investigation and complete a survey that will assess your perceptions, judgments, and background. Participation will occur online and is expected to take approximately 30 minutes.
