15th National Animal Cruelty Conference Scholarship Form

Introducing the April Demanss Scholarship Sponsorship Opportunity for Travelling Attendees.

In honor of our beloved colleague and friend, April Demanss, whose joy, positivity, and dedication to this work touched everyone around her, we are proud to announce a scholarship opportunity bearing her name.

The Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) is funding the April Demanss Scholarships to help offset travel expenses for those attending the 15th National Animal Cruelty Prosecution Conference. It is only fitting that a scholarship honoring April helps bring more passionate advocates to the table. April believed in showing up, for the animals, for the mission, and for each other. We hope this scholarship in her memory makes it a little easier for more people to do just that.

Scholarships are available to qualifying:

• Prosecutors

• Law enforcement and animal control officers

• Veterinarians and related disciplines involved in the prosecution of animal cruelty crimes

Award amounts:

$500 for recipients who fly

$300 for recipients who drive

(Reimbursed with receipts after the conference)

Affirmation of Submission

By submitting this form, you recognize that this scholarship is not guaranteed until you are directly contacted by APA confirming your acceptance. Attendees who are approved will receive a reimbursement form for submission of expenses post-event. Each scholarship designee will be reimbursed up to, but not exceeding, $500 traveling by air or $300 traveling by road to cover travel, lodging, and registrations only. Per Diem, tips and upgrades are non-allowable expenses for reimbursement.
